About

A travel blog you can check

Receipt Road is a travel blog for people planning a trip. We publish destination guides (Tbilisi, Albania, Tokyo, Lisbon, Marrakech), a nomad cost-of-living table, honest blog posts, and free planning tools like the Trip Planner.

What this site is

A static travel site with one unusual habit: receipts. Every price carries a date and a source, shown right on the page. If a number here is wrong, you can see exactly when we verified it and where it came from. Every price and fact lives in one typed dataset; pages consume that dataset rather than hardcoding numbers into templates. Figures that are not independently verified are flagged as rough estimates, not presented as facts.

Our verified-cost policy

Why this matters

Bigger travel sites can out-write us and out-spend us. What they cannot copy quickly is receipts: a per-figure audit trail and a policy where unverifiable claims are labelled instead of laundered into marketing copy. That's the whole bet of this site — and you're invited to check our work, starting with any number on any guide.

No ads. No sponsored picks.

This site runs zero ads and zero sponsored placements. There are no affiliate scripts, no popups, and no trackers beyond one small, privacy-respecting page counter. Guides recommend what the data supports — nothing is paid placement, and every figure keeps its date and source.
